Summary of changes:

  • Statements

    • The generation of statements has been completely re-designed.

      • Statements are no longer included as part of the end-of-period process.

      • There is no longer a Statement Reprint report

      • There is a new module ‘Statements’ in the Periodic menu

      • Statements can now be emailed instead of printed

    • I will go through these changes when you have time available.

    • The migration of historical statements (close to 50,000 were generated yesterday) will need to be discussed with you and whether they are relevant given the misuse of the journal listing report.

      • The following ledgers have had statements generated:

        • ADRA - Samoa Administration

        • ADRA - Solomon Islands Administration


        • FAUC - Fulton Adventist University College

        • FM - Fiji Mission

        • KM - Kiribati Mission

        • TM - Tonga Mission

        • TPUM - Trans Pacific Union Mission

        • VM - Vanuatu Mission

  • Attachments

    • Significant work was done to the Journal Attachment and Journal Preview modules

    • The database now stores attachments as files stored on a file system (FileStream)

    • Journal Attachments – used in the Journal Entry screens

      • Now uses a different PDF viewer to try and reduce the out-of-focus issues which have been reported.

      • Now uses a different Image viewer

        • The maximum resolution of images has been increased when uploading

    • Journal Preview – used in Account Enquiry, Transaction Search and Paperless Authorisation

      • Now uses a different PDF viewer to try and reduce the out-of-focus issues which have been reported.

      • Now uses a different Image viewer

        • The maximum resolution of images has been increased when uploading

      • Added the ability to Email an attachment

      • Added options to rotate PDF and Image attachments

        • PDF documents can have individual pages rotated

  • Period 12 Close

    • manually via Administration module

    • Added functionality to regenerate the Foreign Account Revaluation journal

  • Journal Entry

    • When selecting an Interest Bearing account the transaction date is highlighted

      • This should assists in identifying the significance of entering this date correctly
