Option 1 - Recover My Profile for that email address/account

  • If you have a Password account already set-up, follow the instructions to How to recover my profile in MyAdventist
  • If your account is a Staff account (username is usually 'FirstnameLastname'), return to myadventist.org and click Staff to login this way; contact your local Site IT for assistance if you need a password reset.
  • If you use a Federated Login (Microsoft, Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook), return to myadventist.org and click the Microsoft/Gmail/Yahoo/Facebook button to login this way; follow their password reset instructions if you need to reset your password.

Option 2 - create a new account with myAdventist

  • To create a new Password account, see How to create a password login account in MyAdventist. If you don't have an alternate email address to the email that is already in use, consider creating a new email address with a free email provider (e.g. gmail.com, yahoo.com.au/mail, https://outlook.live.com/owa/) and then using that new email address to create a Password account in myAdventist.
  • If you require a new Staff account, contact your local Site IT for assistance.
  • To create a new account using a Federated Login (Microsoft, Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook), first create an account with that provider (navigate to their website and step through their instructions). Return to myAdventist.org and click the Microsoft/Gmail/Yahoo/Facebook button, enter your login details for the new account you've just set-up, then click the button to authorise myAdventist to authorise login via this provider. Steps for Google are outlined at: How to Create a Google Login Account in MyAdventist and these steps will be very similar for the other Federated Login providers; see also the video Google login for MyAdventist.

Use an individual email address, not a shared email address, for myAdventist

For security and privacy purposes, a shared (email address or federated login, for example mrandmrsbrown@gmail.com, or brownfamily@gmail.com or thebrowns@facebook.com) should not be used with myAdventist. Each myAdventist profile should represent one individual person.

Note re using "+" in a gmail email address

Gmail allows a "+" to be added in an email address, where characters after the "+" are ignored, e.g. Email+myadventist@gmail.com and Email@gmail.com are treated as the same email address by gmail, but will be seen as different email addresses by myAdventist.
