If you have tried to create a new myAdventist Password account and are receiving an error "Unable to create profile", the email address/account is already in use. This means it has already been set-up within myAdventist.


Option 1 - Recover My Profile for that email address/account.

Option 2 - create a new email account (e.g. with Gmail/Hotmail) then use it for a Password account in myAdventist

Create an email account with a free email service (e.g. gmail.com, hotmail.com, yahoo.com.au).

You may consider creating an email account with a free email service (e.g. gmail or hotmail), and then that account (e.g. gmail account) to your myAdventist profile, see Google login for MyAdventist

Steps below:

  1. Browse https://myadventist.org. You will be directed to the login page. Click New Profile


  2. On the New Profile page, click the New Password Account option just below Staff Account then click Password


  3. Enter your name and email address with the +myadventist before the @ sign.


  4. You will then receive a notification email from noreply@adventist.org.au. Click the Set My Password link


  5. Set password 
  6. You should now be able to login using the Password login option. 
    Note: If your reason to do this is because your email address is no longer supported by your previous login provider, contact servicedesk@adventist.org.au and request that your previous account be merged with the newly created profile.


Understanding the +MyAdventist

The + has a very useful meaning for only Gmail's email service, as the characters after it are ignored

ie, Email+myadventist@gmail.com and Email@gmail.com are treated as the same email address

As the +myadventist part of the email address is ignored by Gmail.
