Shorten a URL

In a web browser, navigate to the Bitly URL Shortener https://bitly.com/

Enter your original URL and click Shorten

Your short URL appears. Click Copy icon next to the short URL (ready to paste into your email/promotional material)

Open the item where the short URL is to appear (email/document/etc), paste (right-click and select paste; or Ctrl+V).

Obtain a QR code

Use a web search engine (e.g. www.google.com) to search for a QR code generator, e.g. https://www.qrcode-monkey.com/

Copy/paste the URL into the QR code generator and press enter, then download the code.
