Trial Balance

The Trial Balance report shows the total debits and total credits to each account for the selected period, as well as Year To Date amounts.

The following default filters are set: 

• Hides Zero Balances

• Summarise Trade Receivables/Payables

• Hide Zero Balances (Trade Receivables / Payables only)

• Exclude Year End Journals

Note that when using the Summarise Trade Receivables/Payables option, the Balance to Date Dr and Balance to Date Cr columns may differ from when this option is not used. This would only be when there are debits and credits being netted off in these accounts.

Excel version

A CSV version of this report has been created so it can be imported into Excel. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Run the report using the required filters in ACAS.

2. Click on the Export To button and select the CSV option.

3. Save the report in the required location and with the correct name.

4. Open Excel (a new or existing file).

5. Click on the Data menu and select the From Text/CSV button.

6. Navigate to the saved CSV file.

7. The import wizard will automatically detect that it is a tab or comma delimited text file and show an example of the data. Click the Load button.

8. The data will be added to a new sheet as a query and can be manipulated as desired.
