Creating New Organisations
Users with the Conference Administrator role are able to create new churches. If any other entity type needs creating, please contact Service Desk.
Be in the Conference organisation. Then go to the Admin menu, and click Organisations.
Click on the New button.
Enter the required information on each tab.
Details Tab
Code - must be unique
Name
Address - is used for eGiving
Country
Website - is used for eGiving
Region
Pastor/Chief - is used for eGiving
Treasurer - person must first be set up as a Giver
Budget Start Month (this is a read-only field that is linked to the Financial Year Start month under the Periods tab)
Base Currency - this will default to the currency of the parent, but can be changed if required. It cannot be changed after the organisation has been created.
Periods Tab
Financial Year Starts - select the first month of the church’s financial year.
Financial Year - select the Financial Year that data will start being entered in ACAS from.
Click Save. The periods for the financial year have now been created and they will all be active.
When the chart of accounts has been set up and the CMF Sub Account No and Account API Key fields entered in the CMF Bank Account, come back to Organisations to complete the eGiving tab fields.
eGiving Enabled - Check this box to have this church show on eGiving
eGiving Transactions - check the “Automatically Process” box to have eGiving transactions automatically entered as Receipt Entry transactions in ACAS. This is generally left unchecked for Income Summary churches.
'Merchant Fees' Pay for Child Entities - this box is usually only checked at the Conference level, and the corresponding fields below completed.
Location - this is taken from the address on the Details tab and is used in the eGiving app. The pin can be moved if required.
