Release Date - 1 August 2023
Summary of Changes:
Income | Income Summary - the Opening and Closing Receipt No. fields now display the correct historical data.
Reports | Account Statements - the Transaction Details drilldown report now includes two new fields:
Related Journal - shows any journals linked to the one being viewed, e.g. a Roll-Up journal will show the related Roll-In journal, a Receipt will show linked Bank Deposits, an Expense will show Payments.
Posted Date - shows the date and time the journal was posted (in the time zone of the current ledger).
Reports | eGiving - Details - has been updated to use the Preferred Name in Accounts, if one exists.
Reports | GC Statistical Report - now includes Currency filter so report can be run in USD or AU.
Reports | Posted Journals - a new report has been created to show posted journals. It can be filtered on Entry Type, Period and Date.
Reports | Remitted Funds from Child Entities
Changed formatting to allow pivot table creation
Added a new column in column E (which was previously blank) called "Parent Period Rolled Into"
Admin | Manage Accounts - added the Reporting Group Code field to Accounts (not headers or sub-accounts, just accounts). This is part of the work on the Consolidated Financial Report for NZ, and works as follows:
Is only visible where Reporting Group Codes exist for a Country (so will not be visible in Australian entities as AUC does not need this report at this time)
Is only editable at the Union level, by a user with the Union Administrator role
Codes have not yet been allocated - the accounts list will be sent to NZPUC for determining the codes and then they will be imported by AdTec
Admin | Exchange Rates - only shows rates that have been created for the selected periods. Was displaying the latest rates if a future period was selected.
Admin | Import Budget - the export file now shows the Period Name instead of the Period Code.
Admin | Manage Accounts
The menu name has been changed to "Accounts", and is now positioned under Account Search.
The Tax tab has been moved to the Account level, rather than the sub-account level. This means that the Tax setup done at the Account level will be applied to any sub-accounts below it. So when assigning sub-accounts to accounts, be mindful of this. Where there is a tax-deductible and non-tax-deductible version required for the same offering, you would need to activate both accounts, e.g. 645-301570 Project Income and 645-301571 Project Donation Income.
This mostly affects New Zealand ledgers, but a few Australian ledgers have special tax-deductible offerings. Data fixes have been made to correct mismatches between the account Tax settings and the sub-account Tax settings and the relevant conferences/entities will be notified separately about these. Contact Service Desk if you have questions about setting up the Tax tab.
Admin | Year End - wording updated to refer to the last period of the financial year instead of Period 12, to account for the financial year potentially having more or less than 12 periods if the Change Financial Year Start function has been run.
Multi-currency - has been updated in the database from storing 8 decimal places to 4. This was in consultation with CMF, to align with how other databases store currency transactions.
Income and Receipt journals - payment details such as Cheque details, were being stored on the INC journal but they should have been on the REC journal. New journals will now do this, and existing journals have been updated.
Sign up and sign in improvements
When clicking Log in, the Sign Up link has been removed to avoid confusion.
When a new user clicks on the activation link in the email, they will be taken straight to the User details that they need to complete, rather than having to click the Sign Up link.
Changes to ledger "Name" field - if the name of a church was updated in Admin | Organisations, this wasn't being updated in the parent entity. This has now been fixed.
Various technical updates, such as further reducing the components loaded at startup to make it quicker, and minor bug fixes.
